My last trip of the year, so I wanted to make it a big one. Drove up to Ohio to kick things off the day after a record-setting hurricane passed through part of my planned route. Had a couple delays on the drive up, including a cancelled hotel stay, blown over traffic lights, and a dam that looked like it was about to burst - but I made it to where I needed to be despite the very understandable inconveniences.
Spent three nights in Athens, OH exploring the Hocking Hills region, then headed to Morgantown, WV for a couple nights before ending my trip in Lewisburg, WV - a very charming small town with one of the nicest coffee shops I've had the pleasure of spending time in. Saw mountains, caves, cliffs, canyons, gorges, waterfalls, and so many other beautiful natural features. A great way to conclude a year of ambitious travel plans!
