Blackwater River Paddling Trip, June 2020

After nearly a year of not traveling, my brother and I decided to plan a paddling trip. We originally planned to paddle the Suwannee River, but changed our plans to paddle the Blackwater at the last minute due to concerns about thunderstorms.

We definitely made the right call. It was a very short two-day trip and a very long six-hour drive there and back, but we had a fantastic time. We visited five parks on the drive up and did an eleven-mile, seven-hour paddle on the river the next day.

Below are some of the highlights.
