Ocala National Forest - Juniper & Silver Glen Springs (July 2020)

Today I visited some places relatively close to me that I hadn't been to in years.

Seeing Juniper and Silver Glen Springs was a very emotional experience for me as these springs are two of the most beautiful and pristine in Florida.

I had Fern Hammock Springs, a smaller spring located in the Juniper Springs Rec Area (and which I consider to be the most beautiful spring in Florida, if not the entire nation), to myself for about fifteen minutes and the lighting was lovely. While there were people and boats at Silver Glen, instead of shying away from including them in pictures, I decided to use them as anchors to draw attention to the aquamarine and azure hues of the water.

I also went to two other springs in Volusia County, but I'll include those in a separate post. I took about 250 pictures between all four springs.

Hope you enjoy the photos as much as I enjoyed taking them.

The trees reflect vividly in the waters of Fern Hammock - you can almost reach out and touch them.

Another beautiful juxtaposition of light and shadow.
